Shadow Copy Cloner (SCC) makes a complete system backup, including your programs, documents, pictures, and the registry, by descending the filesystem and copying everything to another partition or hard drive. This means that there is no proprietary archive format to get in your way, and you have direct access to your backup files using whatever programs you wish. Furthermore, our backup software supports NTFS named streams, junctions, symbolic links, and it even re-creates hard-links.

On top of all that, Shadow Copy Cloner can produce a bootable backup of your system. When your hard drive dies or succumbs to a virus, all you need to do is replace it with your backup disk and get right back to work. Your system should come up as it was when you made the backup. When making a backup, SCC employs the Windows Volume Shadow Copy Service. This means that your backup is a point-in-time "snapshot" of your system. You do not have to worry about corrupting your clone because a file was copied while it was being changed. This is a Windows system service that many block-level disk cloners cannot take advantage of, but SCC's file-by-file approach is the perfect match.

Finally, Shadow Copy Cloner updates a clone incrementally, meaning that it copies only the files that have changed since the last backup. You don't have to wait for hundreds of gigabytes of data to be scanned each time, which is a major problem with sector-by-sector cloning programs.
